Stalling tactics continue on Bill C-262

Only a day after the Coalition released a joint statement condemning partisan efforts to prevent debate on Bill C-262, an act to ensure that the laws of Canada are in harmony with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, stalling tactics were again used to prevent the Bill from moving onto the committee stage within the Senate. We are encouraging people to engage with resources from Amnesty International Canada and Mennonite Central Committee to encourage senators and Andrew Scheer, leader of the Conservative Party and the Official Opposition to support the bill.
